Sacraments

Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated typically when one is a junior or senior in high school, but can be celebrated anytime after this as one feels ready.

The sacrament confers the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit, welcomes one into the Church as a fully initiated member, and gives one the grace to live one’s faith on a daily basis. It also binds one more fully to Christ and His Church, and empowers us to spread and defend the faith by word and action. The sacrament is usually celebrated in the spring or early summer and requires a time of preparation beforehand.
